Oh, so what if the author was condescending? Any news is good news.
Liberals are livid. "The big question is why are they denying all access to the prisoners, even access by United Nations human rights investigators? ... I know that we have to go to extremes to fight the war on terror to protect our citizens, but does this mean hiding people, completely from view and imprisoning them indefiniatey without any trial to do it?" asks Those Bastards' King Bastard. "We have no moral high ground," bemoans Torpor Indy's Publius X, who reverts to quoting Nietzsche: "He who fights with monsters might take care lest he thereby become a monster."

On edit: A friend of mine pointed out that the writer probably meant to say "resorts" instead of "reverts". I don't know.

You've gotta play the Nietzsche card, don't you?
Ha!
Awesome shoutout, condescending or not.
First they ignore you.
Then they laugh at you.
Then they fight you.
Then you win.
Is it kosher to quote Gandhi in response to condescension over a Nietzsche quote?
When I was in college, a guy in the male section of the dorm was uber-religious, or at least perceived to be. Someone intending to be cruel and taunting as teenage boys will be, wrote "GOD IS DEAD - NIETZCHE" on his door dry-eraase board. A few days later, I walked by his room and I noticed he had written underneath it "NIETZCHE IS DEAD - GOD."
Perhaps uber religious, yet funny. He also rode a Harley. I wonder what ever happened to him.
Oh, and congrats for the shoutout! (Yes, I do realize it isn't always all about me. Just mostly.)
an eye for eye makes us all blind
The quotable gandhi:
The weak can never forgive. Forgiveness is the attribute of the strong.
I got mine of a billboard the other day on the way to work
and I know its ghandi
Oh, yeah, that quote is attributed to him. I think MLK used it later.
