Hoist on his own petard

This information can be found on Whitehouse.gov and there are audio files of this all over the web. George Bush on wiretaps in 2004:

Secondly, there are such things as roving wiretaps. Now, by the way, any time you hear the United States government talking about wiretap, it requires -- a wiretap requires a court order. Nothing has changed, by the way. When we're talking about chasing down terrorists, we're talking about getting a court order before we do so. It's important for our fellow citizens to understand, when you think Patriot Act, constitutional guarantees are in place when it comes to doing what is necessary to protect our homeland, because we value the Constitution

Bush was arrogant enough to send us to war over imaginary weapons with no approval from U.N.

He can do what he wants to do and people will support him. I can't figure it out.

Bush succeeded in scaring the bejesus out of enough Americans that they gave him the same kind of power the German people gave Hitler.

Terrorism began a long long time ago, when bullies of all stripes learned to say, "If ... Then ... Or Else ...!"

Among the first bullies to put such terroristic threats in writing was Hammurabi of Babylonia. And he lied about it, too. He euphemisticly called it the 'Rule of Law' and claimed it would lead to a peaceable society.

Then again, maybe he was just a self-deluded narcissist, like Bush.
