Should we stock up on blanks and keep them in our gloveboxes?
I wonder if this will be just a like a book report.
(coughs) Not that I've ever had to do this myself, you understand...
The officer who inspects the accident takes down the information of everyone involved. If you are lucky, he's gotten all of it and it's correct. The people involved in the accident then fill in paperwork that describes the accident and includes the personal information (insurance info, SS# etc.) If you're lucky, you get a letter bck from teh state saying that you did a good job. If you're unlucky, you get a letter saying that piece of information X is wrong (doesn't tally with what's in their computers) and that you need to correct it and resubmit. Of course, contacting someone with whom you've had a traffic accident to ask for personal information is a really great way to avoid lawsuits...
Obviously this is a subversive gambit by the state to promote the development of creative writing skills.
I'd like to see the accident report of Ron Weasely after crashing the Ford into the Whomping Willow.
