Bush's approval rating on Iraq at all time low

Americans' approval of President Bush's handling of Iraq is at its lowest level yet, according to an AP-Ipsos poll that also found fewer than half now think he's honest.

A solid majority still see Bush as a strong and likable leader, though the president's confidence is seen as arrogance by a growing number.

Approval of Bush's handling of Iraq, which had been hovering in the low- to mid-40s most of the year, dipped to 38 percent. Midwesterners and young women and men with a high school education or less were most likely to abandon Bush on his handling of Iraq in the last six months.

Sory, but I still don't think he's sexy, whatever the WSJ editorials might say.

Colin Firth, yes. (swoon) Goran Visnjic, yes. Clive Owen, yes. GWB, no.

"...fewer than half now think he's honest."

The real question in my mind is whether Dubya believes his own baloney.

If he does, then the most powerful political leader on the planet is delusional. If not, then the most powerful politician on the planet is a bamboozler.

I guess I'd rather have it turn out that he was deluded.

At least that way, it would be easier for us to apologize to the rest of the world for our unconscionable Hamartia.

I think he believes everything that he says and does is best for the country, though I'm not sure if everything GWB says he also believes to be true. I also believe that he can't fathom why we don't trust him.

"I also believe that he can't fathom why we don't trust him."

Perhaps he is unfamiliar with the heartbreak of plunging Oxytocin levels.
