Still Ridin' Dirty

My wife was finally able to speak to a live person at the BMV. We learned that although they cashed our check on July 19th, our renewal has not even been processed in the computer. In other words, we still do not have our renewal sticker and according to the BMV computer our plates are still expired. The BMV did fax us a form to show to the police should we get pulled over. It's good for 60 days. Hopefully by then we'll have our sticker and Joel Silverman will have been fired.

Ya, I bought a used car, had to go to the BMV in late July to get the title changed and plates...had no choice but to go to the BMV.

Almost 3-1/2 hours later I had my plates...what a fiasco. The computers went down twice while my plates were being processed.

You all wanted this guy Mitch to change things... ;)

South Carolina totally restructured the DMV (we call it DMV). New computer system and all that. It took me 5 min. to get my licence renewed. I was expecting to stand in line for an hour. I thought it was pretty cool.

Your first mistake was in expecting the BMV to be efficient and/or to actually provide service for the budget they draw from the state general fund. Silly, silly, topor! Also, Silverman and Daniels will just find a way to blame it on O'Bannon and Kernan, because no matter how long they've been in charge, they can still pass the buck like no one's business. Personal accountability, what's that?

I'm starting to be very afraid - sent in my check months in advance and stillno stickers.

A pox upon the spammers.

Yes, a pox on the spammers. I became annoyed with the verification and took it off. The musical lyrics folks are really violating my trust though.

Yes, I guess I am really naive to expect the BMV to do its job.

Someone from SC should have come here to show us how it's done. (notice how I avoided larry the cable guy speak?)
