Scary Bush Fact of the Day
I just read on a political forum that Pat Roberson's Regent University Law School (ranked as a 4th tier school) has 150 graduates working in the Bush administration. That's a pretty scary thought since I am a lawyer and have not even heard of this law school.

I'm not bothered so much that Regent is a fourth-tier law school because the U.S. News rankings are crap. Rather, I'm more concerned that it's Pat Robertson's law school that these people have come from. For example, here's what the school's website says about its focus:
"Regent Law School seeks to admit students who are serious about the critical roles they will assume as future counselors, conciliators, defenders of the faith, effective client advocates and followers of Christ....
Regent Law seeks men and women who are dedicated to becoming Christian leaders who will change the world for Christ."
I don't have a problem with the integration of Christian principles into law practice. In fact, I think that the bar could stand to be infused with some ethical thinking and practices. But "defenders of the faith"? What are they preparing there at Regent: soldiers or lawyers?
I did not know that.
I just wish most Christians would wise up.
Blind faith is ignorance and a stilt for the weak minded (which works very well so far).
My grandfather is a southern baptist preacher and he receives a lot of bitchin because he disagrees with a lot of what Pat Robertson says and because he welcomed a Fijan and a black family to church and BBQ. Seriously.
I only go to church for the food.
Isn't a Christian law school an oxymoron?
